Converse lately has been having some good ideas with revamping their classic sneakers. The people at Converse Skateboarding had a genius idea to take the Chuck Taylor high-top sneaker and give it a premium leather look that's also built to skate in, thanks to the extra padding. The leather sections are covered by a perforation pattern, adding a stylish element to the look and improving breathability of the shoe.
In my opinion, I feel that this shoe will be a nice pick-up, mainly because it looks like premium leather so it would look good with what you wear period. The Chuck Taylor is a classic that just about everyone from all personalities love and with the skateboard spin this will be a more comfortable shoe to chill in. So in the end, style plus comfort is a big plus for me.
Right now, the first two colorways are the black and white you see pictured and the shoes will release at select CONS retailers around Spring/Summer 2010. No word on pricing yet.
